“Which screen type is best for my conference room, an LED display or a projection system?” It’s one of the first questions we’re asked when starting a conference room project however, to achieve the best outcome it’s important to understand that technology does not drive the best application but instead, the use and goals will drive the technology. While price, ease of installation and total cost of ownership (TCO) need to be considered, the answer depends on the project’s goals and on the calculated proper screen size which factors in viewing angles, distance, room size and more. Once the size is determined and the client and AV Designer have a clear understanding of the goals to be achieved, the type of display best suited for the application can be revealed. Let’s explore what each has to offer.

Who doesn’t want to make their meetings as effective and productive as possible? Aside from the physical attributes of the space, the key to effective communication and collaboration is the participants’ ability to actively engage with the content being shared. Content needs to be clearly visible from every angle with displayed text legible from every seat in the room so determining the proper display size, type and placement is essential in creating an engaging, collaborative environment.

Time and time again we hear the devastating recounts of lightning strikes critically disabling a home’s electronic systems. To add to the expense and frustration, these overwhelming losses are seldom covered under your warranty as the failure was not the fault of the equipment and because additional, nearly undetectable damage may have been caused to the circuits. These power issues extend beyond the rare lightning strike. “Dirty” power, power abnormalities that include frequency or voltage variations, low power factors and surges, critically impacts your system’s performance and lifespan.
